Filter and Aperture Wheels

Filter and Aperture Wheels are available for use and are installed below the instrument mounting triangle on the TUB. These wheels are installed by default when using the Nickel Direct Imaging Camera and Nickel Spectrograph. Observers bringing their own instrument may use these wheels, though are advised to consult with observatory staff concerning feasibilty. Details on the filter and aperture wheels can be obtained from the Nickel Spectrograph Aperture and Filter manuals. Software control of the wheels is through the Nickel Spectrograph Motor Controller.
