telcoc

Telcoc is a software client that displays the 3-m telescope position (RA, Dec, and HA), TUB rotation angle (in degrees E of N), zenith distance (ZD), airmass, sidereal time (ST), universal time (UT) and pacific standard time (PST).

Telcoc is started from gouda or karnak by typing telcoc at the prompt.

The button in the upper right corner allows one to change the size of the telcoc display to either larger or smaller.

The bottom line denotes which telescope and focus and the source of the information (which should be "Src: POCO" for the Shane 3-m).

Note that the TUB position angle dislayed in telcoc may not match the position angle calculated by the nixie tube readout. The nixie tubes are the most reliable indicator of TUB rotation (the displayed value in telcoc is subject to an unreliable hardware component that we are working on replacing).
